Can a battery really run my house?

It depends on what you run and for how long. A portable station handles essentials. An F3800 Plus with expansion batteries can carry essential circuits, including 240 V loads, through a multi-day outage. An E10 system can back up a whole home. The planner gives you a starting size in two minutes.

Why don't you list prices?

Manufacturer pricing and promotions change often, and most systems need a few accessories to fit your home. We quote the exact bundle for your situation, in writing, so the number you see is the number you pay.

Do I need an electrician?

Not for portable use: plug your devices straight into the power station. To power circuits in your home, yes. A transfer switch or home power panel must be installed by a licensed electrician, and permits may be required where you live.

Battery or generator?

Batteries are silent, need no fuel and can run indoors. Generators carry a big load for as long as you have fuel but must run outdoors. For long outages the best answer is often both: the battery runs the house and the generator or solar refills it.
